Early Childhood Curriculum

Cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of the whole child for preschool students.

In our Early Childhood Program, Park City Day School’s youngest students explore their world and express their personalities through conversation, circle time lessons, books, music, science and technology, art, journaling, and outdoor play.

These fundamental learning experiences allow students to develop skills, learn new concepts, make connections, and deepen prior knowledge. Teachers seek a close relationship with parents in order to maintain a strong school-to-home connection.   more >

A Day in the Classroom

A typical day in the classroom includes learning opportunities that are developmentally appropriate, hands-on, and engaging. With the Creative Curriculum as a foundation and assessment tool, our experienced PCDS classroom teachers design environments that are enticing, dynamic, and rich with creativity and learning opportunities.

Students are active participants in their own education, learning to question, experiment, and negotiate through inviting centers that include a sensory table, easel and art, dramatic play, and manipulatives designed to exercise both fine and gross motor skills.
