Statement from the Board of Trustees
The PCDS Board of Trustees affirms its support and trust in our faculty, staff, and leadership in delivering a curriculum and school experience that fully embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). These principles are not separate from academic excellence; they are essential to it.
We affirm that DEIB is a core element of our school’s ethos, embedded in our mission and daily practice. This work equips students with the skills and perspectives to navigate complexity, confront bias, and contribute meaningfully to their communities, while ensuring that every member of our school, students, families, faculty, and staff, can participate fully, feel valued, and be seen.
The Board commits to upholding this vision through sustained resources and steadfast advocacy. We trust our educators to lead this work with professionalism, care, and dedication, and we stand beside them in ensuring Park City Day School remains a place where diversity is celebrated, equity is practiced, inclusion is intentional, and belonging is a lived reality for all.
The Board believes that a focus on DEIB across the PCDS experience empowers students to confidently take on—and positively contribute to—high school, college, the workplace, and their future global communities.
