Head of School Search

Head of School Search

Following a thoughtful and successful interim leadership search, Park City Day School is pleased to share that Dan Vorenberg will serve as Interim Head of School for the 2026–27 school year. We are grateful to Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CS&A) for guiding this process and helping us identify a strong leader to support our community during this transition year.

With the interim appointment now in place, our focus has shifted fully to the search for our next Permanent Head of School. We are continuing our partnership with CS&A, and our consultants are already deeply engaged in this work. Building on the momentum of the interim search, we feel optimistic and excited about the process ahead.

Our Head of School position description reflects what our community values most: a leader who aligns with our mission, strengthens both our academic and co-curricular programs, recruits and supports exceptional faculty, and engages meaningfully with every corner of our community.

The search process will include opportunities for community involvement. Once finalists are identified, families, faculty, and staff will have the chance to meet the candidates and share feedback through a community survey. Following this input, the Board of Trustees will vote to appoint the next Permanent Head of School, who will begin in the 2027–28 school year.

As we move through this important transition, we remain committed to keeping our community informed and engaged. We will continue to share regular updates and opportunities for input in the months ahead. Questions for the search committee can be directed to headsearch@parkcitydayschool.org.

Search Committee
With input from CSA, the board has formed a Search Committee to guide the process this fall. The
committee's role is to conduct interviews and narrow the initial candidate pool to 3-4 finalists. The search committee includes:

  1. Brian Dosal, Search Chair and Trustee
  2. Jon Golden, Chairman of the Board
  3. Savannah O'Connell, Trustee
  4. Shelly Peters, Trustee
  5. Ramsay Chodounsky, Lower School Director
  6. Claire Fletcher, FA President
  7. Caleb Druckhammer, MS Math Teacher
The Strategic Planning Committee will play a role at key points in the process as an additional sounding board. Their parent and community perspective, combined with the work they have already done around PCDS’s future, will help us evaluate how well candidates align with where the school is headed.
