Message From the Head of School

Welcome.

 

It is my privilege to welcome you to Park City Day School. For 15 years a committed cadre of talented faculty and staff have worked with both purpose and vigor to develop a warm, joyful, challenging and child-centered educational environment that speaks to the academic, artistic and kinesthetic development of young children grades Nursery through 8th grade. Informed by contemporary educational practices and committed to preparing critical thinkers and kind children of character, PCDS believes wholly in the power of community buoyed by a sense of belonging and a focus on the potential of each individual student.

 

Essential to these objectives and our stated mission is our students’ and indeed, our entire community’s engagement with the natural world. A belief steeped in experiential education and focussed on embracing our environment as an essential outdoor classroom where challenges are overcome and life-long lessons of resilience and respect our learned.

 

It is these tenets of education in practice, stewarded by educators committed to excellence across all cognitive and developmental domains, that drew me to accept the position of Interim Head of School for the 2026-2027 school year. It is my sincere hope that you too experience the power of our sustaining mission and our connected community as we all look to prepare our students for the ever-changing complexities of our ever-changing society.
