Admissions Overview

Park City Day School is more than a school, it is a place to belong. PCDS students develop deep connections to their classmates, their teachers, and the world around them. We seeks diverse families and motivated students who demonstrate sound academic potential, intellectual curiosity, creativity, empathy and compassion for others, and a desire to give back to their community.

The Admissions Committee carefully considers the abilities, interests, and needs of each prospective student as well as philosophical alignment with the family. Together, we hope to ensure a mutual and long-term relationship between the school, the student, and their family.

We welcome the opportunity to meet you and to share our passion for PCDS. To learn more about our programs or to take a tour, please email our Admissions Staff

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Through the admissions process, Park City Day School identifies mission-servable students and families who are aligned with our values and educational philosophy. We seek students who demonstrate sound academic potential, intellectual curiosity, creativity, empathy and compassion for others, and those who can benefit from and contribute to our educational community.

In the academic and behavioral assessment of a student's enrollment, the Admissions Committee carefully considers the interests and needs of prospective students and their families in order to ensure a mutual long-term "fit" between the school and the family.

Each qualified candidate will be considered on a rolling basis based on availability in that class. However, the typical admissions calendar begins in early March, after the re-enrollment period for current families concludes. Applicants will be considered after all application requirements are met, and Park City Day School reserves the right to accept students at its sole discretion.

Thank you so much for hosting [our son]. He came back from his day at school literally screeching with excitement. He LOVED the teachers, the kids, the school, and the whole environment so much. He did not stop talking about it. I haven’t heard him this excited about a school ever!  He gave the kindness and inclusivity of the kids a 10/10! He loved researching and taking notes about Joshua Tree. He thought math was challenging and fun. He loved the book Winn Dixie (his words, “very good and exciting.”) In science, he mentioned this was his favorite subject. He shared about magnetic attraction and the experiments/tests with other metallic items. He liked computers where he said he worked on tinted backgrounds and talked about the tree he made. He said he felt very comfortable asking questions. The adjectives he used to describe his overall feelings during the school day were happy, included, comfortable and excited. He liked the students, teachers, learning and play time. He could not stop talking about it all night and continued days. So, I’d say it was a FANTASTIC day!!!
