Support PCDS

The greatness of a community can be measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

A Culture of Philanthropy

As Park City Day School enters its second decade, our community has established an impressive legacy of giving.

We thrive from year-to-year thanks to a supportive community that gives of their time, experience, and financial resources. Below you will find an outline of the philanthropic landscape at our school, which includes opportunities for volunteering, offering gifts in kind, participating in the Annual Fund, involvement in special events such as the Spring Auction, and contributing to a newly created endowment. Your generous support during these campaigns makes it possible for us to achieve the following:

  • Attract and retain the best teachers
  • Provide an innovative curriculum with the most current resources and technology
  • Offer enhanced programming that includes specialists classes in visual and performing arts, STEAM education, music, Spanish instruction, and outdoor education.
  • Continue membership in the Round Square consortium of schools
  • Maintain and improve upon our facilities and beautiful 11-acre campus

Thank you for considering a gift to Park City Day School. Your generosity will directly impact our people and programs and for that, we are grateful.

The Annual Fund

Annual Fund campaigns allow independent schools like PCDS, that do not receive local, state or federal funding, to keep tuition as affordable as possible while still offering a robust program. Your voluntary, tax-deductible contributions, as well as your connections to corporate matching, help bridge the gap between the tuition raised and the actual cost of our educational program. The Annual Fund plays a significant role in the fiscal health of our school. This five-week campaign begins on 10/4 and culminates on 11/5 in conjunction with Live PC/Give PC. Families are encouraged to contribute at whatever level they feel most comfortable. For the past decade, over 95% of families have donated to the Annual Fund.

Family participation in the Annual Fund is a key indicator to outside funding sources of the level of support we have within our community.

In order to survive and thrive, independent schools like ours often rely on a three-pronged approach to fundraising including: 1) a fall Annual Fund 2) a Spring Community Event and 3) Capital Giving or Major Gifts. All of which are critical components to the fiscal health of an independent school.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all gifts are tax-deductible and no gift is too small. A vibrant, involved, and supportive community helps to ensure the school’s financial stability and secures its future. All contributions demonstrate a commitment to our community and are warmly appreciated.

The Spring Event & Tuition Assistance Fund

A large portion of our annual budget is earmarked for tuition assistance, which helps to support current and prospective students. Now, more than ever, these resources are vital to our families. In 2021-22 alone, we distributed more than $481,000 to 23% of our families.

Typically in May, we express our gratitude for the year and each other at our Spring Community Event. This beautiful culminating celebration is the ideal moment to make a lasting commitment to our growing community and the future of PCDS. This, along with the fall Annual Fund campaign, allow us to provide an exceptional experience to a wide variety of families.

Please consider a gift to the Tuition Assistance Fund. Whatever you are able to contribute will make a significant difference in the lives of many of our families. Gifts of all sizes are incredibly important -- after all, when we come together, we can achieve great things. We sincerely appreciate your participation in this important campaign. Visionary Stewardship

Dear PCDS Community,

Even in our short history, PCDS has a wonderful story to tell. In 2010, as the communities of The Colby School and Park City Academy merged to create the Park City Day School, a handful of families came forward and generously provided sustaining donations to solidify our creation. These gifts have contributed significantly to the lives of countless young people and helped establish a culture of philanthropy that has allowed PCDS to become what it is today.

As we look ahead to the next decade and beyond, we are seeking your partnership and participation in our fundraising efforts to cement Park City Day School’s future and invest in our legacy as Park City's premier independent school.

Should you have any questions regarding our philanthropic efforts, or if you would like to get more involved, please contact me. With your partnership, I look forward to our continued growth in the future.

Warmest regards,

Brad McCutcheon
